City Cycle Hire

This is a cycling rental service provided solely to the people of Galway. It is intended to encourage people to cycle to college or work within Galway City rather than take other forms or transportation that are having a negative impact on the environment. The bicycles are not intended for long journeys; they are strong, sturdy bicycles with just 3 speeds for general town use.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. The bicycle remains the property of West Ireland Cycling and cannot be sold, traded for goods, or sub-let.
2. The bicycle is covered by guarantee and any maintenance required must be conducted by West Ireland Cycling.
3. The bicycle must be kept in roadworthy condition and lights must be used during the evening and night.
4. You are responsible for the loss of the bicycle and/or accessories and damage caused by inappropriate use, which includes, but is not limited to, unsafe cycling and failure to maintain the bicycle. Costs of any damage or loss to the bicycle will be deducted from your deposit.
5. If the bicycle is stolen you must report it to West Ireland Cycling AND your local Garda Station immediately
6. There will be a €50 deposit required.
7. 2 valid forms of Identification are required when requesting the hire of a bicycle. One must include a photo (ie. Passport, Driver's Licence, Student Card)
